CLARK COUNTY, Ill. (WTHI) – Two people are dead following several accidents in Clark County. Illinois State Police report Interstate 70 eastbound in Clark County is closed, stretching from Casey to east of Martinsville, following three separate accidents. Officials say eastbound traffic is being rerouted onto U.S. 40 at Casey (Exit 129) and returning to I-70 at Marshall (marker 147). The Clark County Sheriff's Office confirmed two people have died. Their names are not being released at this time.


according to Seven people were killed in a collision on the R34 in KZN, while two others died on the N12 near Potchefstroom in the North West. JOHANNESBURG – Seven people have been killed and one other injured on the R34 at Blood River, between Dundee and Vryheid in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). Five people were found with moderate to severe injuries, while in the second vehicle paramedics found the driver and passenger with fatal injuries. The cause of the collision is not yet known, the police of Potchefstroom attended the scene and will conduct an investigation."(Edited by Masechaba Sefularo) It's understood two light vehicles collided with a truck in the early hours of Saturday morning.

5 killed, 9 injured in separate accidents in Himachal

Shimla, Feb 25 (PTI) Five persons, including a newly wed couple, were today killed and nine others injured in separate accidents in Shimla and Kinnaur districts, police said. The injured were rushed to a hospital at Khaneri near Rampur and one of them is in critical condition, police said. Three persons were killed and five injured when the camper in which they were travelling in rolled 150 feet down into a gorge on Ponda-Bari road near Bhawanagar in Kinnaur district, about 210 km from here, police said. The accident took place as the driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve, an injured person said. Police retrieved the bodies and rushed the injured to hospital.
