The Fond du Lac Yacht Club had to close for part of the morning on Saturday because an ice shove had pushed up against their building. Members of the Fond du Lac Yacht Club say the shove happened in about 15 minutes. Large ice shoves have been piling up along the shoreline in Fond du Lac, but Saturday morning they became a big problem for an area business. Thankfully members of the yacht club say no one was hurt and no damage was caused due to the ice shove. They tell WGBA-TV in a statement: "The Fond du Lac Yacht Club has experienced ice shoves in the past, but nothing ever like this before... We cleared the building to make sure that nobody would be hurt in the event the ice continued to press against the building."

Fond Du Lac, Wis. (WBAY) – The Fond Du Lac Yacht Club off the coast of Lake Winnebago was forced to close for part of Saturday morning after an ice shove hit the building. A club employee stated the ice that hit the building reached as far as 30 feet high. The club said the ice is now being kept away, and a shift in winds was later in their favor. On the post it stated: ": At this point, it looks as if the building will be closed for part (if not most) of Saturday. The club, which is near Lakeside Park, posted photos to its website overnight Friday into Saturday.
