Victims of traffic accidents may sue Depok administration quoting : "The National"

Depok administration in West Java may be sued by victims of traffic accidents for neglecting to repair damaged roads that have triggered a high number of traffic incidents in the city, a police officer has said. "On average, eight traffic accidents occur per day due to damaged roads and that's a high number. The division, he said, had recorded 240 traffic accidents caused by damaged roads in February, adding that most of the victims were motorcycle drivers and passengers. "Because this [the road] public facility has threatened [the safety] of drivers and public in general, the Depok administration as the responsible party can be taken to court," Depok Police traffic directorate division head Comr. He said he had sent a formal request to the city's public works and spatial planning agency, which oversees roads, to immediately repair damaged roads.
